Data Storage and Security

Local Storage

By default, all your data is stored locally on your device using an encrypted SQLite database. This data never leaves your device unless you enable cloud sync.

Cloud Sync (Optional)

If you sign in with Google and enable cloud sync, your journal entries and mood colors are stored in Firebase Firestore. This allows you to access your data across multiple devices.

Data is encrypted in transit using HTTPS/TLS
Data is stored in Google Cloud infrastructure with industry-standard security
Only you can access your data through your authenticated account

Third-Party Services

The app uses the following third-party services:

Firebase Authentication (Google)

Used for secure sign-in with your Google account. Firebase Authentication stores your email address and authentication tokens. Firebase Privacy Policy

Firebase Firestore (Google)

Used for optional cloud sync of your journal data. Data is stored in Google Cloud data centers. Google Cloud Privacy

Your Rights

You have full control over your data:

Access Your Data

All your journal entries and mood colors are visible within the app at any time.

Delete Your Data

You can delete your account and all associated data directly in the app through Account Settings. This permanently removes:

All journal entries from cloud storage
All mood colors from cloud storage
Your Firebase Authentication account
All local data on your device

Export Your Data

Your data is stored in standard formats and can be accessed through the app. Future versions may include explicit export functionality.

Opt Out of Cloud Sync

You can use the app entirely offline without signing in. Your data will remain on your device only.
